Additional Information:
All log furniture is subject to
the natural process of checking. Checking happens
as wood releases moisture, and normally occurs
across or through the annual growth rings. Checking
is one the of characteristics of cedar, and does
not affect the structural performance of integrity
of the wood. White cedar will not shrink due to
checking or exposure to elements. Our beds and
chairs are made from natural cedar logs. Log diameters
vary over the length of the log. Therefore, outside
measurements such as overall length and width
may vary several inches from one bed to the other,
even though one is measuring beds with the same
bed number. The length and width measurements
listed in our catalog for all beds indicate the
SIZE of the matress that applies to the bed. As
a result of varying log diameters, the clearance
from the matress the the bedframe may vary, as
the logs vary. This is normal. |
